T-Cee's Dari Frez in Fairview Utah

One of the main Hamburger joint in Fairview is T-Cee's Dari Frez.  And that's where Dale and I headed for lunch.

I got their T-Cee burger and a side of Onion rings.
The T-Cee burger is basically a double cheese burger...with a slice of tomato on top.   It's no sin to put a tomato on a double cheese burger.  It just surprised me.  And it added a lot of kick to the burger.  I had a much better lunch here than I did at the Purple Turtle last week.

Dale got their pastrami burger.
I'm pretty sure he liked it.  He kept making these sounds while he was eating his burger like ...Umm....UMMmm...UUmmm.  Yeah, I think it's safe to say that Dale like his burger.

This is T-Cee's fry sauce counter.  They offer an unlimited supply of Fry Sauce.  This adds a full extra star to T-Cee's rating in my book.

Yes, I'd say T-Cee's is a pretty good place to eat.  It's family owned and represents well the small town burger establishment.

Breakfast at the Home Plate Cafe

Before heading back to Salt Lake, I wanted to take my mom out for some breakfast.  I had noticed the Home Plate Cafe on my trip to Fairview yesterday and asked mom what she thought of it.  She told me that has eaten there before and it was a decent place to eat.  That was good enough for me.  We were off to Home Plate Cafe for breakfast.

The truth is that it was a little late in the morning - probably at 11:00 a.m.  I wasn't sure if we would even make  it for breakfast.  But we did.  I was very relieved when I looked on their menu and saw that Home Plate served breakfast all day long.

My mom got their Canadian bacon and eggs.

The ketchup didn't come with it.  My mom started squirting it on as soon as they set her plate down.  Mom just doesn't understand what it is too be blogger yet.  So I explained to her that I need to take a photo of her food first before she starts piling on the goop.

I was a little undecided on whether I wanted something sweet like pancakes or if I wanted something closer to what my mom got.  After some thought, I decided mom had the right idea so I went with their House omelet.

I snapped a few good photos and after my mom was done with the ketchup, I grabbed the bottle and it was my turn to pile on the goop.

The only minor trouble we had was locating the jam for our toast.  I think we had both already finished a slice before we found it.  The jam packets are actually right there on the table, over by the salt and pepper, Tabasco sauce and whatnot.  For some reason, the strawberry and grape stuff wasn't jumping out at us.  Maybe, we were just enjoying our food too much.

This place is like a little hometown Denny's or IHOP in the heart of Utah.  The food was great.  The lady serving us was great.....Overall, I'd say we had a pretty great experience at the Home Plate Diner.

Lunch at Wheeler's Drive-In

Wheeler's Drive-In is Mount Pleasant's premiere hamburger establishment.   For lunch, this afternoon, I stopped in to check it out.

This was the view from where I was sitting.

I went for the most expensive Burger on the menu, their Double Bacon Cheese burger and substituted onion rings for fries.

Though the atmosphere is fast food, Wheeler's serves their orders on glass plates.  This adds a touch of "diner" to the atmosphere

Notice how they stuck my fry sauce cup snugly into the holes of one of my onion rings.  Kind of cute, huh?  It would have been even cuter if they had given me a few more of those cups.  In my world, fry sauce is just as important for onion rings as it is for fries. They didn't provide a whole lot of it.  I was tempted to ask them for more, though I'm sure I would have had to pay extra.  Instead, I decided to ration my fry sauce.  Despite the rationing, the onion rings were still pretty good.

And now for my review of the Burger.   Their bacon double cheese was a superior hometown burger - a thorough delight from start to finish.  No complaints here.

After my burger, I had a look at their desert menu. I decided to try one of their hot fudge sundae's.

The Sundae was another treat!  Wheeler's scores more high marks for their hot fudge sundae.

Overall, I'd rank Wheeler's as a very good place to eat.  They're a little stingy on their fry sauce but their burgers are terrific and the sundae capped off a pretty nice lunch experience for me at Wheeler's Drive-In.
