Kim Long's Market

Oops, am I driving the wrong way?

No, I was just having trouble getting the cloud shot I wanted.  There was nothing to the north but the south was interesting.  I didn't want to turn my car around and start heading the other way.  So I parked my car and walked out into the middle of the road to get the shot I wanted.

I wasn't blocking traffic so I don't think I was doing anything wrong.  Still, law enforcement may not have looked kindly on the stunt if they happened to have been driving by.

For my adventure tonight, I stopped in at Kim Long's oriental market.  I wanted to look around for a bit and was determined to buy something - actually anything that I had never tried.

I settled on the following food items.  It was like taking a walk down Sesame Street.

Sesame Crisp Flakes could possibly be the equivalent of graham crackers in China.  They didn't work well for me.  They were okay I guess but they were a little too sweet as a result of excessive amount of honey and the general taste was unusual probably requiring an "acquired taste" to fully appreciate it.

Now these I liked!   I think they're called sesame balls.  At  least, that's what I called them.  The market makes them daily fresh.  I popped one in my  mouth and the next two quickly followed.  In the center, they are filled with a kind of sweet sesame paste that affected my sweet tooth in just the right way.  I'll definitely be back to Kim Long's market for more sesame balls.
